The process of collaboration

The first step in contacting us is the e-mail account rememberrelatereflect(at)gmail.com*. You will receive an email reply if you provide contact information such as name, telephone number and email address. We want to make sure we're dealing with real people.

What can you offer?

Perhaps you have already written something on the computer and would now like to get our feedback on it. Send us the file in pdf format, and we will get in touch with you.

If your own stories or memories from parents and grandparents are handwritten or only available on paper, then email us what the story is about and how many pages your text is. If the text is thematically related to our blog, we will work with you to find a way to edit it.

Another possibility of cooperation would be the interview. Maybe you have something to say yourself but don't like to write. Maybe it's parents and grandparents who like to tell stories from their lives but would never write them down. Still, they want to raise this treasure trove of memories and save it for future generations. We could do that.

What does collaboration look like?

  • We will reply by email as to whether the text or the interview can be accepted in principle.

  • We make suggestions as to how further communication could be organised.

  • If a submitted text is accepted, the collaboration between the author and us begins.

  • Edited and corrected versions are exchanged until the content and language of the contribution are correct.

  • A publication will only take place when the author has accepted the jointly developed version 0 and released it for publication.

  • The author signs his or her contribution with an abbreviation of his or her choice. The name is only known to us, the operators of the blog.

*(at) means @. This spelling is a precaution to make harassment more difficult. If you write to us, please use the correct character.
